Tinted mobile car window tinting offers a complete car tinting solution. Tinting your car windows yourself, is often a real hassle, choosing the right brand, shade, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be a real pain! Taking your car to be tinted at a local garage can be a real burden too, having to take the time off work, or be without your car for several hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often not possible.
At Tinted we are 100% mobile, and we cover the whole of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Rugby and surrounding areas. So no matter where you are, we will come to your workplace or home, saving your time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.
We also offer both tinted and vinyl sun strips, light tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works
- You book a time slot and a place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the car’s windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows are tinted, we ask you do not use the windows for at least 7 days, to allow them to dry fully, this protects the edges of the tint.
- We then accept payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is right for you?
Choosing the right tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for style and look?
- Is it to protect children or animals from heat or UV rays?
- Is it to conceal valuables from sight?
Based on your answers to those questions our trained professionals can help you to pick out the right shade. Here are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint, offering protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers protection from UV rays, heat, and does add some level of privacy.
Blackout tint – This is our most popular tint, it protects from UV rays, heat, and provides complete privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s explain how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint is how much light is let through. So, 20% tint allows 20% of light through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of cars produced today come with tinted glass at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some this glass doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.
If you choose to have your front windows tinted your penalties could be (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road until you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice or court summons.
Also, a factor to consider is car insurance. By tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.
It’s also illegal to install tint on front windows, with heavy fines and penalties being handed out. Tinted is a respectable, reliable, and trustworthy company that all customers rely on, and, as such, we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not all window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
Tends to be the cheapest product on the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
Also a cheap option. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not a premium tint, and won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. This is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect radio signals.
Ceramic
The best tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience and installation, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in the UK, meaning when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
