100% Mobile Window Tinting Service

Tinted mobile car window tinting in Sheldon delivers an all in one car window tinting service. Tinting your car windows by yourself, can often be a real pain, selecting the right shade, brand, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your vehicle to be tinted at a local garage can be a real burden too, having to take some time off work, or losing your vehicle for several hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often a big inconvenience.

At Tinted we’re 100% mobile, and we cover all of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Sheldon and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for every tinting job we do.

We also offer both tinted and sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior wraps.

How it works

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
  • We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • Once the windows have been tinted, we request you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this protects the edge of the tint.
  • We’re then able to take payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

What window tint shade is the right choice for you?

Selecting the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint to make you car look great?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from heat or UV rays?
  3. Do you want cover up valuables from sight?

From your answers to these questions our fully trained professionals are able to help you to choose the correct shade. Here are the 3 main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving complete visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays & also adds a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it can safeguard from UV rays, heat and offers complete privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We are asked this question many times. To start with, let’s describe how tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.

The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of cars made today have tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.

If you choose to have your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network until you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we will not tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the least expensive product on the market, it fades, bubbles, and often goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t a premium tint, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The most superior tint on the market, provided as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio signals and gives the most temperature/UV protection.

Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
