Tinted mobile car window tinting in Sparkbrook offers a complete car tinting service. Tinting your car windows on your own, is often a real hassle, choosing the best shade, brand, and even just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be a real pain! Taking your vehicle to have the tint applied locally can often be a real burden too, needing to take time off work, or losing your vehicle for many hours waiting for it to be finished, is often not possible.

At Tinted we’re completely mobile, and we can cover all of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Sparkbrook and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you time or valuable holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.

We also offer both tinted and vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • Once the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
  • We can then take payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

What window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?

Selecting the best tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for style and looks?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
  3. Do you want keep valuables out of sight?

Using your responses to these questions our fully trained specialists can help you to choose the correct shade. These are the three main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays and also adds a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it can safeguard from heat, UV rays and gives absolute privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We’re regularly asked this question. Firstly, let’s explain the way tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.

The legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of vehicles made today come with tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.

If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road unless you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to invalidate your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to a cars front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable business that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you install?

Not every window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This is often found be the cheapest product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The best tint available, provided as our premium service. It provides great colour/longevity, is not affected by heater lines, does not affect radio signals and gives the best temperature/UV protection.

Having said that, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we think is best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
