Tinted mobile car window tinting in Barston delivers an all in one car window tinting solution. Tinting your car windows by yourself, is often a real hassle, choosing the right brand, shade, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be very difficult! Driving your car to have the tint applied at a local garage can often be a hassle as well, having to take time off work, or losing your vehicle for several hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often not possible.

At Tinted we are 100% mobile, and we cover the whole of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Barston and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.

We also offer both tinted & vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed crew will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
  • We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
  • We may need to remove door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • Once the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
  • We are then able to recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

Which window tint shade is the right choice for your car?

Selecting the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from heat or UV rays?
  3. Is it keep valuables out of sight?

From your answers to those questions our qualified specialists are able to help you to pick the right shade. Here are the three main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays and does add some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most popular, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and gives absolute privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let us describe how tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.

The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of cars produced today come with tinted glass at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people it doesn’t look tinted, it really is.

If you go ahead and have your front windows tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the UK road network until you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, a factor to consider is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, it’s possible to invalidate your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with large penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and because of this we choose not to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you install?

Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This tends to be the cheapest tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This is not first class, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The finest tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It provides the best colour/longevity, is not affected by heater lines, does not affect radio reception and gives the most temperature/UV protection.

All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
