Tinted mobile car window tinting in Bilton offers an all in one car tinting solution. Tinting your car windows by yourself, is often a real hassle, selecting the right brand, shade, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be problematic! Driving your car to have the tint applied locally can be a hassle as well, having to take time off work, or be without your car for many hours waiting for it to be completed, is often not possible.

At Tinted we are 100% mobile, and we cover all of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Bilton and local areas. So we will come to your home or place of work, saving you time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.

We are able to provide both tinted and sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior wraps.

Our process

  • You book a time slot and place convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
  • We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • Once the windows have been tinted, we request you don’t use the windows for at least a week so that they can completely dry, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
  • We’re then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

Which window tint shade is right for your car?

Choosing the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for style and looks?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
  3. Is it to conceal valuables from view?

Using your responses to those questions our qualified professionals are able to help you to pick the correct shade. Here are the three main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers protection from UV rays, heat & also adds a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most widely selected, it can safeguard from heat, UV rays and gives absolute privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We’re regularly asked this question. Firstly, let us describe how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.

The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of vehicles made today come with tinted glass at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t look tinted, it really is.

If you go ahead and have your front windows tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road unless you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.

It is also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we will not tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you install?

Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the least expensive tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour after a while. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t first class, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The best tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio and provides the best UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
