What we do
- You book a time slot and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- Once the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to completely dry, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to take payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
What window tint shade is the right choice for your car?
Choosing the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for style and looks?
- Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?

Based on your responses to these questions our qualified specialists are able to help you to pick the correct shade. These are the three main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for total visibility even in darkness.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We’re regularly asked this question. Firstly, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles produced today come with tinted windows at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.
If you choose to have your front windows tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to invalidate your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a cars front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and because of this we choose not to break the law. So we will not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you use?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The best tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio reception and provides the most temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
