How it works
- You book a time slot and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows are tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to take payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
Which window tint shade is right for your car?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be to make you car look great?
- Is it to shield children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Do you want cover up valuables out of view?
Based on your answers to those questions our qualified professionals are able to help you to pick the right shade. Below are the three main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat and also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it can safeguard from heat, UV rays and gives complete privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles produced today have tinted glass at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.
If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road until you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can nullify your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the least expensive tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour after a while. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio signals and gives the best temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we think is best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
