Our process
- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can completely dry, this protects all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
- Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Do you want to conceal valuables from sight?

Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but giving complete visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays and does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from UV rays, heat and gives total privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re regularly asked this question. To start with, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Most of vehicles produced today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you choose to have your front windows tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to invalidate your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with large penalties & fines. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the least expensive product available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint on the market, offered as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio signal and provides the best temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
