Tinted mobile car window tinting in Tyburn delivers an all in one car window tinting service. Tinting your car windows by yourself, can often be a real hassle, choosing the best brand, shade, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be very difficult! Taking your vehicle to be tinted locally can often be a real burden too, needing to take the time off work, or be without your car for many hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often very inconvenient.

At Tinted we are completely mobile, and can cover the whole of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Tyburn and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.

We also offer both tinted and vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, roof and bonnet wraps, and interior wraps.

What we do

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to power.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
  • We could need to detach the door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • After the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for around a week so that they can completely dry, this protects the edge of the tint.
  • We can then take payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?

Choosing the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for style and looks?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
  3. Is it cover up valuables from view?

Using your responses to these questions our trained specialists can help you to pick the right shade. These are the three main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers protection from UV rays, heat & does add some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it protects from heat, UV rays and gives total privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We’re often asked about this. To start with, let us explain the way tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.

The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of vehicles produced today have tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.

If you choose to have your front windows tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you may invalidate your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we will not tint any front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you install?

Not all window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The best tint on the market, offered as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio signal and gives the most temperature/UV protection.

Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in the UK, meaning when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
