How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we request you do not use the windows for around a week so that they can completely dry, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?
Selecting the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for total visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays and also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and provides complete privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of vehicles the come from the factory today come with tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.
If you go ahead and have your front windows tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we will not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the cheapest product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour after a while. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This is not a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The best tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It has the best colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio reception and provides the most UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
