How it works
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We might need to detach the door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- After the windows are tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We can then recieve payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your car?
Selecting the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be to make you car look great?
- Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Do you want keep valuables out of sight?
Using your responses to these questions our qualified professionals are able to help you to choose the right shade. Here are the three main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and offers complete privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re often asked about this. To start with, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. Most of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted glass at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.
If you choose to have your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a cars front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we will not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not all window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The best tint on the market, offered as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio reception and gives the best temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we think is best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
