Tinted mobile car window tinting in Blackwell provides a complete car window tinting solution. Tinting your car windows on your own, can often be a real pain, choosing the right shade, brand, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be very difficult! Taking your car to have the tint applied at a local garage can be a real burden as well, having to take the time off work, or losing your vehicle for several hours waiting for it to be finished, is often not possible.

At Tinted we’re 100% mobile, and we can cover all of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Blackwell and local areas. So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.

We also offer both tinted & sun strips, headlight tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

What we do

  • You book a time slot and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to power.
  • We then clean the car windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
  • We may need to detach the door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • When the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least a week to allow them to dry fully, this protects all the edges of the tint.
  • We’re then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

What window tint shade is the right choice for your car?

Selecting the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Do you want to conceal valuables out of view?

Based on your responses to those questions our qualified professionals are able to help you to select the right shade. These are the three main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat & also adds some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and gives complete privacy.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?

We’re often asked about this. To start with, let’s describe how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.

The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles produced today have tinted glass at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some this glass doesn’t look tinted, it really is.

If you choose to get your front windows tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the UK road network until you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can nullify your insurance.

It’s also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all clients rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not all window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the cheapest product on the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This is not first class, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The most superior tint on the market, offered as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio signal and provides the most UV/temperature protection.

Having said that, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
