How it works
- You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- When the windows are tinted, we request you do not use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
- Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Do you want to conceal valuables from sight?
From your responses to the questions our trained specialists can help you to select the right shade. These are the three main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from UV rays, heat & also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it can safeguard from UV rays, heat and gives total privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let’s describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through. Most of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some this glass doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.
If you go ahead and have your front windows tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road until you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we decided to not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you use?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This is not a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The most superior tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It provides great colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, won’t affect radio reception and provides the best temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we think is best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
