Our process
- You book a time slot and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We might need to detach the door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows are tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this protects all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
What window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Choosing the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for style and looks?
- Is it to shield children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Do you want cover up valuables out of sight?
Based on your responses to the questions our fully trained specialists are able to help you to select the correct shade. These are the 3 main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving full visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays & does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and gives absolute privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let’s describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of cars the come from the factory today have tinted glass at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some this glass doesn’t look tinted, it really is.
If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.
It’s also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we choose not to tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest product on the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This is not first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The best tint on the market, offered as our premium service. It provides great colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio and provides the most temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
