100% Mobile Window Tinting Service

Tinted mobile car window tinting in Bilston provides an all in one car tinting service. Tinting your car windows by yourself, can often be a real hassle, choosing the best brand, shade, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be a real pain! Taking your vehicle to have the tint applied at a local garage can often be a real burden as well, having to take the time off work, or be without your car for many hours waiting for it to be finished, is often a big inconvenience.

At Tinted we’re 100% mobile, and we can cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Bilston and local areas. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you time or valuable holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.

We are able to offer both tinted & sun strips, headlight tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

What we do

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to remove door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • Once the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least a week so that they can dry fully, this protects the edge of the tint.
  • We can then accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

Which window tint shade is the right choice for your car?

Selecting the right tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for style and looks?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
  3. Is it to conceal valuables from view?

From your responses to the questions our qualified professionals are able to help you to pick the right shade. These are the 3 main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers a safeguard from UV rays, heat and also adds some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it protects from UV rays, heat and gives total privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We’re often asked about this. To start with, let’s explain how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.

The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of cars produced today come with tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.

If you choose to get your front windows tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the UK road network unless you remove the extra tint.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.

It’s also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all customers rely on and as such we choose not to disobey the law. So we will not tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This tends to be the cheapest product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The greatest tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, does not affect radio and gives the most UV/temperature protection.

Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
