Tinted mobile car window tinting in Newport provides an all in one car window tinting service. Tinting car windows yourself, can be a disaster waiting to happen, selecting the right shade, brand, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your car to be tinted locally can be a hassle too, needing to take some time off work, or be without your vehicle for many hours waiting for it to be finished, is often very inconvenient.

At Tinted we’re 100% mobile, and we cover the whole of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Newport and surrounding areas. So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.

We also offer both tinted & vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
  • Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • After the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can dry fully, this protects all the edges of the tint.
  • We’re then able to recieve payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

What window tint shade is right for you?

Choosing the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be to make you car look great?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
  3. Is it to conceal valuables from sight?

Based on your responses to the questions our qualified specialists can help you to pick the right shade. Below are the 3 main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays & also adds some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most popular, it protects from heat, UV rays and provides absolute privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We are regularly asked this question. Firstly, let us explain the way tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.

The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles made today come with tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.

If you choose to get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, something to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy company that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint any front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

Which of the available tint do you install?

Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This tends to be the least expensive product available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The finest tint available, provided as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, will not affect radio reception and provides the best temperature/UV protection.

All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we think is best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
