100% Mobile Window Tinting Service

Tinted mobile car window tinting in Oldbury offers an all in one car tinting solution. Tinting your car windows yourself, can be a disaster waiting to happen, choosing the best shade, brand, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your vehicle to have the tint applied at a local garage can often be a real burden as well, having to take some time off work, or be without your vehicle for many hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often a big inconvenience.

At Tinted we are completely mobile, and we cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Oldbury and local areas. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.

We are able to offer both tinted and sun strips, car light tints, roof and bonnet wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

What we do

  • You book a time slot and a location convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
  • We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • When the windows are tinted, we request you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can dry fully, this preserves the edge of the tint.
  • We can then accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

What window tint shade is right for your car?

Selecting the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for style and looks?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Do you want cover up valuables from sight?

Based on your answers to the questions our fully trained professionals can help you to pick the right shade. Below are the three main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat and also adds a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most widely selected, it can safeguard from UV rays, heat and offers complete privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let us describe how tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.

The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles produced today have tinted glass at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.

If you choose to have your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not every window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t a premium tint, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The best tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides the best colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, doesn’t affect radio reception and gives the best UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK companies.

Do you provide mobile window tinting near me?

Yes! We are fully mobile and offer mobile window tinting in Oldbury and the whole of the West Midlands and Warwickshire.

We are able to come to your place of work, or where you live which means that you don’t need to loose your car and do not need to wait around for several hours for the job to be completed.
