Tinted mobile car window tinting in Marlow provides an all in one car tinting solution. Tinting car windows yourself, can be a real pain, selecting the right shade, brand, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be very difficult! Driving your vehicle to be tinted at a local garage can be a real burden as well, having to take the time off work, or having no vehicle for many hours waiting for it to be completed, is often not possible.

At Tinted we are 100% mobile, and we cover all of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Marlow and surrounding areas. So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.

We are able to offer both tinted and sun strips, car light tints, roof and bonnet wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
  • Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to completely dry, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
  • We’re then able to recieve payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

What window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?

Choosing the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for the look & style of your car?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Is it to conceal valuables out of view?

Based on your responses to those questions our qualified specialists are able to help you to choose the correct shade. Here are the three main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers protection from UV rays, heat and also adds a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and offers absolute privacy.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?

We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let us explain the way tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint allows 20% of light through.

The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted glass at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

If you choose to get your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you remove the extra tint.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and because of this we choose not to break the law. So we choose not to tint any front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you install?

Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the least expensive product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The best tint available, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, does not affect radio signals and gives the best UV/temperature protection.

Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we think is best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
