Our process
- You book an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We might need to detach the door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we request you do not use the windows for at least a week to allow them to completely dry, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re regularly asked this question. To start with, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles made today have tinted glass at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, it really is.
If you choose to have your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you may invalidate your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to a cars front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio reception and gives the best temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
