How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We may need to remove door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can completely dry, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to recieve payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let’s explain how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of vehicles made today come with tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road until you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, a factor to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.
It’s also illegal to install tint to a cars front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a premium tint, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The best tint on the market, provided as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio reception and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in the UK, meaning when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
