Tinted mobile car window tinting in Studley provides an all in one car window tinting service. Tinting car windows on your own, can be a real hassle, choosing the right brand, shade, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be a real pain! Taking your vehicle to have the tint applied at a local garage can often be a real burden too, having to take time off work, or having no vehicle for several hours waiting for it to be completed, is often not possible.

At Tinted we’re completely mobile, and we can cover the whole of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Studley and nearby towns. So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.

We can also offer both tinted & sun strips, car light tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior wraps.

How it works

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
  • We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • When the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around a week to allow them to dry fully, this protects all the edges of the tint.
  • We are then able to recieve payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

Which window tint shade is the right choice for you?

Selecting the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be for style and looks?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from heat or UV rays?
  3. Do you want to conceal valuables from view?

From your answers to those questions our fully trained professionals are able to help you to pick the correct shade. Here are the 3 main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is a factory tinted look, it offers a safeguard from UV rays, heat and does add some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most popular, it protects from UV rays, heat and gives absolute privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s explain the way tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.

The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles the come from the factory today come with tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.

If you choose to get your front windows tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, a factor to think about is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, it’s possible to invalidate your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not all window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This tends to be the cheapest tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t a premium tint, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The finest tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It has great colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, will not affect radio signal and gives the most temperature/UV protection.

All that being said, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we think is best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
