Tinted mobile car window tinting in Cawston provides a complete car window tinting service. Tinting your car windows by yourself, is often a disaster waiting to happen, choosing the right shade, brand, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be very difficult! Taking your car to be tinted locally can often be a hassle too, having to take some time off work, or be without your car for many hours waiting for it to be completed, is often very inconvenient.

At Tinted we’re completely mobile, and we can cover all of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Cawston and surrounding areas. So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.

We are able to offer both tinted & sun strips, headlight tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

Our process

  • You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and a location convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed crew will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
  • We could need to remove door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • After the windows are tinted, we request you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can dry fully, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
  • We can then recieve payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

What window tint shade is right for you?

Selecting the best tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Is it keep valuables from view?

Using your answers to those questions our fully trained specialists can help you to choose the right shade. Here are the three main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat & does add a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and offers total privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We are regularly asked this question. Firstly, let us describe how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.

The legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles made today come with tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some people it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

If you choose to have your front windows tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the UK road network until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can nullify your insurance.

It is also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

Which of the available tint do you use?

Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This is often found be the least expensive product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This is not first class, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Top industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The greatest tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, will not affect radio and provides the most UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
