Tinting your car windows by yourself, can often be a disaster waiting to happen, selecting the right brand, shade, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your car to have the tint applied at a local garage can be a hassle too, having to take some time off work, or losing your vehicle for many hours waiting for it to be finished, is often a big inconvenience.

At Tinted we’re completely mobile, and can cover the whole of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Corley and local areas. So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for every tinting job we do.

We also provide both tinted & sun strips, headlight tints, roof and bonnet wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You book an appropriate appointment time and place convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed crew will arrive, only requiring access to power.
  • We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
  • We might need to detach the door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • When the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days so that they can completely dry, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
  • We’re then able to recieve payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

Which window tint shade is the right choice for you?

Choosing the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be to make you car look great?
  2. Is it to look after children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Do you want to conceal valuables from sight?

Based on your answers to these questions our fully trained specialists are able to help you to choose the right shade. Below are the 3 main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving complete visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays & does add some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and gives total privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s describe the way tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light through.

The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars produced today have tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some this glass doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.

If you choose to have your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network until you remove the extra tint.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.

It’s also illegal to install tint to a cars front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

Which of the available tint do you install?

Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the least expensive product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not first class, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The finest tint on the market, provided as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio signal and provides the most temperature/UV protection.

All that being said, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
