How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for around a week to allow them to completely dry, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We’re then able to accept payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is the tint to make you car look great?
- Is it to look after children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Do you want cover up valuables out of sight?
Using your responses to those questions our trained professionals can help you to choose the correct shade. These are the three main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers protection from UV rays, heat & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and offers complete privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re regularly asked this question. Firstly, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles the come from the factory today come with tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t look tinted, it really is.
If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network until you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to think about is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and as such we choose not to disobey the law. So we will not tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the cheapest product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour after a while. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t first class, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has great colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, doesn’t affect radio signals and provides the most UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
