How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- After the windows are tinted, we request you do not use the windows for at least a week so that they can dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?
Selecting the best tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from UV rays, heat and also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from UV rays, heat and provides complete privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let us describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of cars the come from the factory today have tinted windows at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.
If you choose to get your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to invalidate your insurance.
It is also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we decided to not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint we can buy, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, does not affect radio reception and provides the most temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
