So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.
We are able to offer both tinted & vinyl sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior wraps.
How it works
- You book a time slot and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We might need to remove door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- After the windows are tinted, we request you don’t use the windows for around a week so that they can completely dry, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
- We can then recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
What window tint shade is right for your car?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is the tint to make you car look great?
- Is it to shield children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Do you want to conceal valuables from sight?
Using your answers to the questions our fully trained professionals can help you to pick the right shade. These are the three main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays & does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it can safeguard from UV rays, heat and offers complete privacy.
Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are asked this question many times. To start with, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles produced today come with tinted glass at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.
If you choose to get your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the UK road network until you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to consider is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can invalidate your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we will not tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The finest tint available, provided as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, will not affect radio signal and provides the best temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
