What we do
- You book a time slot and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We might need to detach the door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around a week so that they can dry fully, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
- We can then accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your car?
Selecting the right tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for style and looks?
- Is it to protect children or animals from heat or UV rays?

Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays and also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from UV rays, heat and gives complete privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows can we tint?
We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let us explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles the come from the factory today come with tinted glass at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some it doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the least expensive tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio signal and gives the most UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
