Our process
- You book an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We might need to remove door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows are tinted, we request you do not use the windows for around a week to allow them to dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for style and looks?
- Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Do you want to conceal valuables from sight?
Based on your responses to these questions our fully trained professionals can help you to select the correct shade. These are the three main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat and does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and provides absolute privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles produced today have tinted glass at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some people it doesn’t look tinted, it really is.
If you choose to get your front windows tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.
It’s also illegal to install tint to a cars front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not all window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint on the market, provided as our premium service. It has great colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
