Tinting your car windows by yourself, can be a real pain, selecting the best brand, shade, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be problematic! Driving your car to have the tint applied locally can often be a hassle too, having to take the time off work, or losing your car for many hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often a big inconvenience.

At Tinted we are completely mobile, and can cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Coalpit Field and surrounding areas. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.

We also provide both tinted and vinyl sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to power.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to remove door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • After the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for around a week to allow them to completely dry, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
  • We are then able to recieve payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

Which window tint shade is right for you?

Choosing the best tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for style and looks?
  2. Is it to look after children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Is it to conceal valuables from sight?

Using your answers to the questions our trained professionals can help you to choose the right shade. These are the 3 main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers protection from heat, UV rays & also adds a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and offers complete privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We’re regularly asked this question. To start with, let us describe how tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.

The legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of cars made today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.

If you choose to have your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you may nullify your insurance.

It is also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

Which of the available tint do you use?

Not all window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This tends to be the cheapest product on the market, it fades, bubbles, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The most superior tint we can buy, offered as our premium service. It has the best colour/longevity, isn’t affected by heater lines, doesn’t affect radio signal and provides the most UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
