At Tinted we are 100% mobile, and can cover all of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Olton and surrounding areas. So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for every tinting job we do.

How it works

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only requiring access to power.
  • We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • After the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least a week to allow them to dry fully, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
  • We are then able to recieve payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

Which window tint shade is right for you?

Choosing the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for style and looks?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from heat or UV rays?
  3. Do you want keep valuables out of view?

From your responses to the questions our qualified specialists can help you to pick the correct shade. These are the 3 main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving complete visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays and does add some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most widely selected, it can safeguard from UV rays, heat and gives total privacy.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?

We’re regularly asked this question. To start with, let us explain how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.

The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of cars made today come with tinted glass at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.

If you go ahead and have your front windows tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the UK road network unless you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and because of this we choose not to break the law. So we will not tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and often goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not first class, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The greatest tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It has the best colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio and gives the best temperature/UV protection.

All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
