How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We may need to remove door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we request you do not use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this preserves the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is right for your vehicle?
Selecting the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

- Is it to protect children or animals from heat or UV rays?

From your answers to the questions our qualified professionals are able to help you to pick the right shade. Here are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers protection from UV rays, heat & does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most popular, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and offers absolute privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re often asked about this. Firstly, let us explain how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars the come from the factory today come with tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some people it doesn’t look tinted, it really is.
If you choose to have your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road until you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you can nullify your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a cars front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and because of this we choose not to break the law. So we choose not to tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the cheapest tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The finest tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has great colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, won’t affect radio and gives the best temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
