Tinted mobile car window tinting in Stoneleigh delivers an all in one car tinting service. Tinting car windows on your own, is often a real pain, selecting the right brand, shade, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be a real pain! Driving your vehicle to be tinted locally can be a hassle as well, having to take time off work, or having no vehicle for many hours waiting for it to be completed, is often very inconvenient.

At Tinted we’re completely mobile, and we can cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Stoneleigh and local areas. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for every tinting job we do.

We also provide both tinted and sun strips, light tints, roof and bonnet wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You book a time slot and a location convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to remove door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • When the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for around 7 days to allow them to completely dry, this protects all the edges of the tint.
  • We’re then able to accept payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

What window tint shade is right for your car?

Choosing the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be to make you car look great?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Do you want cover up valuables out of view?

Using your answers to these questions our trained professionals can help you to choose the correct shade. Below are the 3 main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for total visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays and does add a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and offers complete privacy.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?

We are often asked about this. Firstly, let us describe the way tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.

The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles made today come with tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some it doesn’t look tinted, it really is.

If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, a factor to consider is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.

It’s also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not every window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This is not a good option, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The best tint available, offered as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, does not affect radio signals and gives the best UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in the UK, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
