Our process
- You book a time slot and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to power.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We could need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for around a week to allow them to completely dry, this preserves the edge of the tint.
- We’re then able to take payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for your car?
Selecting the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for the look & style of your car?
- Is it to shield children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Is it cover up valuables from view?
Using your responses to these questions our trained professionals are able to help you to choose the correct shade. Below are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and gives total privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re asked this question many times. To start with, let us describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. So, a 20% tint allows 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through. Most of vehicles produced today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people it doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the UK road network unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also against the law to install tint to a cars front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we will not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This is not first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint on the market, offered as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, is not affected by heater lines, will not affect radio reception and gives the most UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in the UK, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
