100% Mobile Window Tinting Service

Tinted mobile car window tinting in Small Heath provides a complete car window tinting service. Tinting your car windows yourself, is often a real pain, choosing the best shade, brand, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your car to be tinted locally can often be a hassle as well, having to take time off work, or losing your car for many hours waiting for it to be finished, is often not possible.

At Tinted we are completely mobile, and we cover all of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Small Heath and nearby towns. So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.

We also provide both tinted and sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior wraps.

What we do

  • You book an appropriate appointment time and a location convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
  • We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • When the windows are tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least a week to allow them to dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
  • We are then able to accept payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?

Choosing the best tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Do you want cover up valuables from sight?

Based on your answers to those questions our trained professionals are able to help you to select the correct shade. Here are the 3 main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for total visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is a factory tinted look, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays and also adds some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most widely selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and provides complete privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We’re regularly asked this question. To start with, let’s describe how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. Therefore a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.

The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of vehicles made today come with tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.

If you choose to have your front windows tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.

It is also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty penalties & fines. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy company that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we will not tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not all window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This tends to be the least expensive product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour eventually. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not a good option, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The finest tint available, provided as our premium service. It has the best colour/longevity, is not affected by heater lines, will not affect radio signal and gives the best UV/temperature protection.

Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
