How it works
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we request you do not use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to completely dry, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to take payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
Which window tint shade is right for your car?
Choosing the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be to make you car look great?
- Is it to look after children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Do you want cover up valuables from view?
Based on your answers to the questions our qualified professionals are able to help you to select the right shade. Here are the 3 main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers protection from heat, UV rays & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and offers absolute privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows can we tint?
We’re regularly asked this question. To start with, let us explain how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of cars made today have tinted windows at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.
If you go ahead and have your front windows tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the road until you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, a factor to think about is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy,respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and because of this we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the least expensive tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The finest tint available, offered as our premium service. It has great longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio reception and provides the most temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in the UK, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
