Tinted mobile car window tinting in Nuneaton provides a complete car tinting solution. Tinting car windows by yourself, can be a disaster waiting to happen, choosing the right shade, brand, and even just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your vehicle to be tinted locally can be a hassle too, needing to take the time off work, or losing your vehicle for many hours while you wait for it to be completed, is often very inconvenient.

At Tinted we’re 100% mobile, and we can cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Nuneaton and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.

We also provide both tinted and vinyl sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior wraps.

How it works

  • You make a booking for a time slot and a location convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed crew will arrive, only requiring access to power.
  • We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
  • We might need to detach the door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • When the windows are tinted, we request you do not use the windows for at least a week to allow them to completely dry, this preserves the edge of the tint.
  • We can then take payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.

What window tint shade is the right choice for you?

Selecting the correct tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be for style and looks?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from heat or UV rays?
  3. Is it to conceal valuables from sight?

From your responses to those questions our fully trained professionals can help you to select the right shade. Here are the 3 main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers protection from UV rays, heat & does add a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most popular, it protects from UV rays, heat and provides absolute privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We are often asked about this. To start with, let’s describe the way tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint allows 20% of light through.

The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars the come from the factory today have tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

If you choose to get your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, a factor to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may invalidate your insurance.

It’s also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and because of this we choose not to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

Which of the available tint do you install?

Not all window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This is often found be the cheapest tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The finest tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides the best colour/longevity, is not affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio signals and gives the best UV/temperature protection.

Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
