Tinting your car windows by yourself, can often be a disaster waiting to happen, choosing the right shade, brand, and even just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your car to have the tint applied locally can often be a real burden as well, needing to take some time off work, or be without your vehicle for many hours waiting for it to be completed, is often not possible.

At Tinted we are completely mobile, and can cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Bearley and nearby towns. So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.

We also offer both tinted & sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior wraps.

How it works

  • You make a booking for a time slot and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed team will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
  • We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% pure water to remove any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
  • We might need to detach the door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • Once the windows are tinted, we request you do not use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
  • We are then able to take payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.

What window tint shade is right for your car?

Selecting the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint to make you car look great?
  2. Is it to look after children or animals from UV rays or heat?
  3. Is it keep valuables out of sight?

From your answers to those questions our qualified specialists are able to help you to choose the right shade. Below are the three main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers protection from UV rays, heat and does add some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and provides complete privacy.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?

We are often asked about this. To start with, let’s explain how tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.

The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles the come from the factory today come with tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

If you go ahead and get your front windows tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can nullify your insurance.

It is also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we decided to not tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

Which of the available tint do you install?

Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the cheapest tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not first class, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The most superior tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio signal and gives the best UV/temperature protection.

Having said that, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we think is best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
