Tinting your car windows by yourself, can often be a real pain, selecting the best shade, brand, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your vehicle to be tinted locally can often be a real burden too, needing to take some time off work, or having no vehicle for many hours waiting for it to be completed, is often not possible.

So we will come to your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.
We also provide both tinted and vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, roof and bonnet wraps, and interior wraps.
How it works
- You book a time slot and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- When the windows are tinted, we believe its best that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can completely dry, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We can then take payment by, cash, card, or bank transfer.
What window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Selecting the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for the look & style of your car?
- Is it to look after children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Is it to conceal valuables out of sight?
From your answers to the questions our trained professionals can help you to pick the right shade. These are the 3 main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers protection from UV rays, heat & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and offers total privacy.
Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are asked this question many times. To start with, let’s describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of cars produced today have tinted windows at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.
If you choose to have your front windows tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network until you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable company that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we decided to not tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the least expensive product available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t a premium tint, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint available, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, will not affect radio signal and gives the best temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
