Tinting car windows by yourself, can be a real pain, selecting the right brand, shade, and also just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be a real pain! Driving your vehicle to be tinted locally can be a hassle too, having to take some time off work, or losing your vehicle for several hours waiting for it to be completed, is often not possible.
At Tinted we are 100% mobile, and we cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Warwick and surrounding areas. So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.
We also offer both tinted & sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior wraps.
How it works
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed crew will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris before we tint them.
- We could need to remove door cards to access the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can dry fully, this protects all the edges of the tint.
- We are then able to recieve payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?
Choosing the best tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be to make you car look great?
- Is it to look after children or animals from heat or UV rays?
- Do you want to conceal valuables out of view?
From your answers to the questions our trained professionals are able to help you to select the correct shade. Below are the three main shades to choose from:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving complete visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers protection from heat, UV rays & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and provides total privacy.
Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We’re often asked about this. To start with, let us explain how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of cars the come from the factory today have tinted windows at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some people it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to think about is the insurance on your car. By tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with large penalties & fines. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all clients rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the least expensive product available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, is not affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint we can buy, offered as our premium service. It provides great colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, does not affect radio and provides the best UV/temperature protection.
All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years of experience, we have selected what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is manufactured in the UK, meaning when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
Do you provide mobile window tinting near me?
Yes! We are fully mobile and offer mobile window tinting in Warwick and the whole of the West Midlands and Warwickshire.
We can visit your place of work, or your home which means that you don’t have to be without your car and don’t need to wait around for hours for the job to be completed.
