So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you time or valuable holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.
We are able to offer both tinted and sun strips, car light tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior wraps.
How it works
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for around 7 days to allow them to completely dry, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to accept payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
Which window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Choosing the right tint shade can be tricky. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be to make you car look great?
- Is it to look after children or animals from heat or UV rays?
- Is it keep valuables from view?
From your answers to those questions our trained specialists can help you to choose the right shade. Below are the three main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for total visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers a safeguard from UV rays, heat & does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and offers total privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We’re regularly asked this question. Firstly, let’s explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front have to let 70-75% of the light through. Nearly all of vehicles the come from the factory today have tinted windows at already (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to think about is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, you can nullify your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a trustworthy, respectable and reliable business that all customers rely on and as such we choose not to break the law. So we choose not to tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the least expensive product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The most superior tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has great colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, won’t affect radio signals and provides the most temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all manufacturers of tint are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in the UK, which means that when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
