Tinted mobile car window tinting in Lyonshall provides a complete car tinting service. Tinting your car windows yourself, can be a disaster waiting to happen, selecting the right shade, brand, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your vehicle to be tinted locally can be a real burden too, needing to take time off work, or be without your vehicle for several hours waiting for it to be completed, is often not possible.

At Tinted we’re 100% mobile, and we cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Lyonshall and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for every tinting job we do.

We are able to provide both tinted & vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior wraps.

How it works

  • You book an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed crew will arrive, only needing access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or unseen debris previous to tinting them.
  • We might need to remove door cards to gain access to the workings of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • Once the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least a week to allow them to dry fully, this protects all the edges of the tint.
  • We’re then able to recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

Which window tint shade is right for your vehicle?

Choosing the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for style and looks?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
  3. Do you want to conceal valuables from view?

Based on your answers to the questions our qualified specialists can help you to pick the right shade. Here are the three main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays and does add some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most popular, it can safeguard from heat, UV rays and provides absolute privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let us describe the way tint is measured.

The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is let through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light through.

The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of cars produced today come with tinted windows at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.

If you choose to get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road unless you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to consider is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, you may nullify your insurance.

It’s also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all clients rely on and as such we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you use?

Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This tends to be the cheapest product on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour after a while. It is quite poor, and we do not recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t a premium tint, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.

Ceramic

The most superior tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, won’t affect radio and provides the best UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we think is best brand available, and even better, it is manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
