How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to power.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris before we tint them.
- We could need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- When the windows are tinted, we request you do not use the windows for around a week so that they can completely dry, this safeguards all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to accept payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is right for your car?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some questions to ask yourself:

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?
We are often asked about this. To start with, let’s explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles made today come with tinted glass at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you have the extra tint removed.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, a factor to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can nullify your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with large penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to break the law. So we will not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This is often found be the least expensive product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This is not first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The finest tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides great colour/longevity, is not affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio signals and provides the best UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
