Tinted mobile car window tinting in Smethwick offers a complete car window tinting service. Tinting your car windows by yourself, is often a real pain, selecting the right shade, brand, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be a real pain! Taking your vehicle to be tinted at a local garage can often be a hassle as well, needing to take the time off work, or be without your vehicle for several hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often not possible.

At Tinted we are completely mobile, and we can cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Smethwick and nearby towns. So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for every tinting job we do.

We also provide both tinted & sun strips, light tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You book an appropriate appointment time and place convenient to you.
  • Our uniformed crew will arrive, only requiring access to a powered plug socket.
  • We then clean the car windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or microscopic debris previous to tinting them.
  • We could need to detach the door cards to gain access to the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this preserves the edge of the tint.
  • We are then able to take payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

What window tint shade is right for you?

Selecting the best tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
  2. Is it to look after children or animals from heat or UV rays?
  3. Do you want keep valuables from view?

From your answers to these questions our trained professionals can help you to pick the right shade. These are the three main shades to choose from:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat & does add a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is the most popular, it protects from UV rays, heat and offers total privacy.

Which car windows are we able to tint?

We are asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s describe how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.

The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Nearly all of cars produced today come with tinted glass at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t look tinted, it actually is.

If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click this link for details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road until you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to think about is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can invalidate your insurance.

It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected business that all clients rely on and because of this we choose not to break the law. So we will not tint front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

Which of the available tint do you use?

Not every window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This is often found be the least expensive tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is regularly damaged by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This is not a good option, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and does not affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The finest tint money can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides great longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio signal and gives the best UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we think is best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in the UK, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK companies.
