Tinted mobile car window tinting in Stretford provides an all in one car tinting service. Tinting car windows by yourself, is often a real hassle, choosing the best shade, brand, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Driving your car to have the tint applied locally can often be a hassle too, having to take some time off work, or having no car for several hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often a big inconvenience.
At Tinted we are 100% mobile, and we cover all of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Stretford and local areas. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or valuable holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.
We can also offer both tinted & vinyl sun strips, car light tints, bonnet & roof vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.
How it works
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to remove any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We could need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days so that they can dry fully, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We are then able to recieve payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
What window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?
Choosing the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint to make you car look great?
- Is it to protect children or animals from heat or UV rays?
- Do you want cover up valuables from view?
Using your responses to the questions our trained professionals are able to help you to select the correct shade. Below are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers a safeguard from heat, UV rays & also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it provides a guard from heat, UV rays and gives total privacy.
Which car windows are we able to tint?
We’re often asked about this. To start with, let’s explain how tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines how much of the light is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of cars made today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some it doesn’t look tinted, in actual fact it is.
If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, a factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.
It’s also against the law to install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all clients rely on and because of this we choose not to disobey the law. So we will not tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you install?
Not all window tint meets our standards! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This tends to be the cheapest product available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour in the end. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio signals. This isn’t first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Premium industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, longevity, is not affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The greatest tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It provides the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, doesn’t affect radio and provides the most temperature/UV protection.
All that being said, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
