Tinting car windows by yourself, can be a real pain, choosing the best brand, shade, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be problematic! Driving your vehicle to have the tint applied at a local garage can be a real burden as well, having to take the time off work, or be without your vehicle for many hours while you wait for it to be completed, is often very inconvenient.

So we will come to your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.

How it works
- You book an appropriate appointment time and a location convenient to you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then clean the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We could need to remove door cards to access the complete window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we request you do not use the windows for at least a week so that they can dry fully, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
- We’re then able to take payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
What window tint shade is right for your vehicle?
Selecting the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be for the look & style of your car?
- Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Do you want keep valuables out of sight?
Based on your responses to the questions our fully trained specialists can help you to choose the correct shade. Below are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is how many cars come out of the factory, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays and also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is the most commonly selected, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and provides complete privacy.
Which car windows can we tint?
We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s explain the way tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through. The vast majority of vehicles produced today have tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some people it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted the potential penalty will be (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something to consider is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.
It’s also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy company that all clients rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint your front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not all window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint on the market, it fades, bubbles, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t a premium tint, and, won’t last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The most superior tint we can buy, provided as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, doesn’t affect radio signal and gives the best UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have selected what we have found to be the best brand available, and what is more, it is all manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
