Tinted mobile car window tinting in Wolvey delivers an all in one car window tinting solution. Tinting car windows on your own, can often be a real hassle, selecting the right shade, brand, and also just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your vehicle to have the tint applied at a local garage can often be a hassle too, needing to take the time off work, or having no car for several hours while you wait for it to be completed, is often a big inconvenience.
At Tinted we’re completely mobile, and we cover the whole of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Wolvey and nearby towns. So we can visit your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for every tinting job we do.
We can also provide both tinted and vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior wraps.
What we do
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and a location that suits you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then wash the vehicle windows with 100% filtered water to clear away any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We may need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
- When the windows have been tinted, we believe its best that you do not use the windows for around a week so that they can completely dry, this preserves the edge of the tint.
- We’re then able to recieve payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
Which window tint shade is right for your car?
Selecting the right tint shade can be difficult. Here are some questions to ask yourself:
- Is the tint to make you car look great?
- Is it to look after children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Is it cover up valuables from view?
Based on your answers to those questions our fully trained specialists can help you to select the right shade. These are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for full visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is the same as the factory provides for many cars, it offers shelter from heat, UV rays & does add a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and gives absolute privacy.
Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let us explain how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint permits 20% of light through.
The allowed legal limit on both the driver’s & the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars made today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Even though to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, in actual fact it is.
If you choose to have your front windows tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the road unless you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a court summons.
Also, something to consider is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, it’s possible to nullify your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with heavy fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy business that all customers rely on and as such we do not want to disobey the law. So we decided to not tint front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not all window tint was created equal! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest product on the market, it fades, bubbles, and often goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t a good option, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The best tint we can buy, offered as our premium service. It provides great colour/longevity, the heater lines do not affect it, will not affect radio signal and gives the most temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all manufacturers of tint offer the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in the UK, meaning when you choose our services you’re supporting two UK businesses.
