How it works
- You book a time slot and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed team will arrive, only needing access to power.
- We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
- We could need to remove door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- After the windows have been tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We can then recieve payment by, bank transfer, cash, or card.
What window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Choosing the right tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Is the tint for the look & style of your car?
- Is it to protect children or animals from UV rays or heat?
- Is it to conceal valuables out of sight?

Light tint – This is a subtle tint offering protection from UV rays but giving total visibility even in darkness.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers a safeguard from UV rays, heat and also adds a little privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from heat, UV rays and offers total privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows are we able to tint?
We are regularly asked this question. Firstly, let’s describe how tint is measured.
The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. So, a 20% tint makes possible for 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the front windows must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles the come from the factory today come with tinted glass at almost (or nearly) a 70% tint. Even though to some people this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it actually is.
If you go ahead and get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click this link for details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ stopping your vehicle being used on the UK road network until you remove the extra tint.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, a factor to think about is your car insurance. By tinting your front windows, you can invalidate your insurance.
It is also against the law to install tint to a vehicle’s front windows, with hefty fines and penalties. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all clients rely on and as such we choose not to disobey the law. So we will not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
Which of the available tint do you install?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dyed/Dipped Window
This is often found be the cheapest tint available to the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour after a while. Its really not great, and we do not recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also disturb radio reception. This isn’t first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines and doesn’t affect the radio reception.
Ceramic
The finest tint on the market, provided as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, isn’t affected by heater lines, won’t affect radio and gives the best temperature/UV protection.
Having said that, not all window tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we think is best brand available, and even better, it is all manufactured in the UK, which means that when you choose our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
