Tinted mobile car window tinting in Cradley provides a complete car window tinting service. Tinting car windows on your own, is often a real pain, selecting the right shade, brand, and even just aligning it with the window and applying it, can be problematic! Taking your car to be tinted at a local garage can be a real burden as well, needing to take the time off work, or having no vehicle for many hours while you wait for it to be finished, is often very inconvenient.

At Tinted we are completely mobile, and we cover the whole of Warwickshire & the West Midlands including Cradley and nearby towns. So we will come to your home or place of work, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We guarantee our work for a lifetime for your peace of mind, and we are completely insured for all the tinting work we do.

We are able to provide both tinted and vinyl sun strips, headlight tints, roof and bonnet vinyl wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and place that suits you.
  • Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to power.
  • We then clean the car windows with 100% filtered water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
  • We could need to detach the door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the highest possible professional standard.
  • When the windows have been tinted, we request you don’t use the windows for around 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this preserves all the edges of the tint.
  • We’re then able to take payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

What window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?

Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Would this tint be to make you car look great?
  2. Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
  3. Do you want keep valuables out of view?

Using your responses to the questions our trained professionals are able to help you to choose the right shade. Below are the 3 main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but giving complete visibility even in darkness.

Medium tintThis is a factory tinted look, it offers protection from UV rays, heat and does add a little privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it can safeguard from UV rays, heat and offers absolute privacy.

Which car windows is it possible for us to tint?

We’re regularly asked this question. Firstly, let’s describe how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. So, a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.

The legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through. Most of cars made today come with tinted glass at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

If you choose to get your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning your vehicle being used on the UK road network until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
  • A penalty notice and a court summons.

Also, something to consider is your car insurance. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.

It’s also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all clients rely on and because of this we do not want to break the law. So we choose not to tint your front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

What type of tint do you install?

Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:

Dipped/Dyed Window

This tends to be the cheapest tint available to the market, it fades, bubbles, and will likely go a blue or purple colour in the end. It isn’t good quality, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also often very cheap. It is affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio signals. This isn’t a good option, and, won’t last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Top industry-standard window tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it gives a great colour, longevity, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The best tint money can buy, offered as our premium service. It has great colour/longevity, is not affected by heater lines, does not affect radio reception and provides the best UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all window tint manufacturers offer the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
