Tinted mobile car window tinting in Dawley provides an all in one car tinting solution. Tinting car windows by yourself, can be a disaster waiting to happen, selecting the right brand, shade, and even just lining it up on the glass and applying it, can be a real pain! Taking your vehicle to have the tint applied at a local garage can often be a real burden as well, needing to take some time off work, or be without your vehicle for several hours while you wait for it to be completed, is often very inconvenient.

At Tinted we’re completely mobile, and can cover all of the West Midlands & Warwickshire including Dawley and nearby towns. So we can visit your workplace or home, saving you a lot of time or precious holiday days. We offer a lifetime guarantee for your peace of mind, and we are fully insured for all the tinting work we do.

We are able to offer both tinted & sun strips, light tints, bonnet & roof wraps, and interior vinyl wraps.

How it works

  • You book a time slot and a location that suits you.
  • Our uniformed personnel will arrive, only needing access to a power point.
  • We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to eliminate any dirt or invisible debris previous to tinting them.
  • We may need to remove door cards to access the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
  • Once the windows have been tinted, we ask that you don’t use the windows for at least 7 days to allow them to dry fully, this safeguards the edge of the tint.
  • We’re then able to take payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.

Which window tint shade is the right choice for your vehicle?

Selecting the right tint shade can be tricky. Here are some things to ask yourself:

  1. Is the tint for the look & style of your car?
  2. Is it to shield children or animals from heat or UV rays?
  3. Is it cover up valuables from view?

From your answers to those questions our fully trained professionals are able to help you to select the correct shade. These are the 3 main shades available:

Light tintThis is a subtle tint providing protection from UV rays but allowing for complete visibility even at night.

Medium tintThis is a factory tinted look, it offers protection from heat, UV rays & does add some privacy.

Blackout tint – This tint is our most commonly selected, it protects from UV rays, heat and gives absolute privacy.

Which car windows can we tint?

We are regularly asked this question. To start with, let us explain how tint is measured.

The percentage given for a tint defines the amount of light that is let through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.

The allowed legal limit on each of the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Meaning the glass at the front must let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. The vast majority of cars the come from the factory today come with tinted glass at already (or nearly) a 70% tint. Although to some this glass doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.

If you go ahead and have your front window glass tinted this is the potential penalty (click here for more details):

  • A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the UK road network until you have the extra tint removed.
  • A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.

Also, a factor to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you can nullify your insurance.

It is also illegal to install tint to the front windows, with large fines and penalties. Tinted is a respectable, reliable and trustworthy company that all customers rely on and because of this we do not want to disobey the law. So we choose not to tint any front windows.

We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.

Which of the available tint do you use?

Not all window tint was created equal! The window tints available are:

Dyed/Dipped Window

This tends to be the cheapest tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and normally goes a blue or purple colour eventually. It is quite poor, and we don’t recommend it.

Metalized

This tint is also cheap. It is damaged by the rear window heater lines, which cause it to bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This is not a premium tint, and, will not last.

Carbon or Charcoal

Premium industry-standard tint. We choose to use this at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & doesn’t affect the radio reception.

Ceramic

The best tint on the market, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, does not affect radio signal and provides the best UV/temperature protection.

All that being said, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years in the industry, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and what is more, it’s manufactured in Great Britain, which means that when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK businesses.
