What we do
- You make a booking for an appropriate appointment time and place convenient to you.
- Our uniformed staff will arrive, only requiring access to a power point.
- We then wash the car windows with 100% pure water to clear away any dirt or unseen debris before we tint them.
- We may need to detach the door cards to gain access to the entirety of the window. This is done to the best professional standard.
- Once the windows have been tinted, we ask that you do not use the windows for around a week to allow them to dry fully, this protects the edge of the tint.
- We can then take payment by, card, bank transfer, or cash.
What window tint shade is the right choice for you?
Choosing the correct tint shade can be hard. Here are some things to ask yourself:
- Would this tint be for style and looks?
- Is it to protect children or animals from things like heat & UV rays?
- Is it cover up valuables out of view?
From your responses to the questions our fully trained specialists are able to help you to pick the correct shade. These are the 3 main shades available:
Light tint – This is a subtle tint giving protection from UV rays but allowing for total visibility even at night.
Medium tint – This is a factory tinted look, it offers shelter from UV rays, heat and also adds some privacy.
Blackout tint – This tint is our most widely selected, it provides a guard from UV rays, heat and provides absolute privacy.

They’ve come out and installed the tints, but due to the weather being bad, there were some issues with the tint and some air got underneath the tints. When I informed them about it, they were quick to come out and resolve the issue, even though it was freezing and raining outside. Would definitely hire them again for more tinting jobs.

Which car windows can we tint?
We’re asked this question many times. Firstly, let’s describe the way tint is measured.
The percentage produced for a tint defines the amount of light that is allowed through. Therefore a 20% tint allows 20% of light to pass through.
The legal limit on both the driver’s and the front passengers window is 70%. The windscreen is 75%. Which means the front windows have to let 70-75% of the light through any installed tint. Most of vehicles produced today have tinted windows at almost (or close to) a 70% tint. Although to some people it doesn’t seem to be tinted, it really is.
If you choose to get your front window glass tinted your penalties range from (click here for more details):
- A ‘prohibition notice’ banning you using your vehicle on the road until you strip the tint from your vehicle.
- A penalty notice and a summons by the court system.
Also, something to consider is the insurance on your car. By tinting the front windows of your car, you may nullify your insurance.
It is also illegal to install tint to a cars front windows, with heavy penalties & fines. Tinted is a reliable, trustworthy & respected company that all customers rely on and as such we choose not to disobey the law. So we will not tint any front windows.
We will happily tint any rear windows as dark as you wish, as there is no legal limit on rear window tints.
What type of tint do you use?
Not every window tint meets our standards! The types of window tint available are:
Dipped/Dyed Window
This tends to be the cheapest tint on the market, it bubbles, fades, and will likely go a blue or purple colour after a while. Its really not great, and we don’t recommend it.
Metalized
This tint is also often very cheap. It is regularly affected by the rear window heater lines, making it bubble. It can also interrupt radio reception. This isn’t first class, and, will not last.
Carbon or Charcoal
Top industry-standard window tint. It is what we usually use at Tinted, as it provides great colour, its long lasting, does not get affected by heater lines & does not affect the radio signals.
Ceramic
The most superior tint on the market, offered as our premium service. It has the best longevity/colour, the heater lines do not affect it, does not affect radio reception and provides the best UV/temperature protection.
Having said that, not all tint manufacturers are the same, after many years of experience, we have chosen what we believe is the best brand available, and even better, it’s manufactured in the UK, meaning when you hire our services you are actually supporting two UK companies.
